In Anticipation of New Migration Crises

چکیده

The concept of resilience has been commonly recognized as a new leitmotif security governance in the European Union. In aftermath so-called ‘migration crisis’, spilled over migration and border management, promoting notions resilient Schengen broadly understood technologization to name few. This trend only strengthened during COVID-19 pandemic most recent refugee crises on EU eastern border, which have mainstreamed anticipation, preparedness, ability withstand shocks disturbances external whole. Building these developments, this article discusses how anticipatory interlocks with within newly proposed crisis management framework. doing so, it provides more nuanced picture EU’s post-2015 2016 approach human mobility, asylum, protection. Such take will also allow us see exactly adapted migratory circumstances, while conceptualizing uncertainties related increased flows operationalizing specific resilience-centered policy responses.
